In my opinion I think you both have done things wrong. You said you offered a truce that's good, shows an attempt you tried to end the argument. Her mistake was not taking it. Your mistake was to continuing to agrue with her. I don't know the whole story, so I might be completely wrong, but regardless you can't change some people by yelling at them. If you were her, do you think agruing more and more would give you the intensions of stopping?
